About Me
Hi, my name is Joelle and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor in NJ. I knew I wanted to be a therapist since my junior year of high school, and now that I’ve achieved that goal I want to help others get here too.
I work as a therapist on the local military base helping service members and their families, and also work as a private contractor for non-military members virtually, part-time.
While I love working directly with clients, I wanted to do more. That drive for more is what led me to obtaining my ACS in order to help clinicians who are just starting out in the field.
How I Help
If you’ve made it to this page you’re probably in the market for a supervisor, so let’s talk method.
As a clinician, I use a client- focused model and gravitate toward CBT techniques. I will also utilize an array of techniques from various other theoretical models as they fit.
While I won’t be providing therapy to anyone I am supervising, I will gladly work with you on what issues you may face both professionally and personally as it relates to your work with clients. I view my relationship with those who I supervise as a teacher/mentor and think that it is important to have a mutually respectful dynamic.
I think it is important for each clinician to find their own way with the help of their supervisor.
What you’re investing in
The rate for each week is $80.00.
By receiving clinical supervision with me, you will learn your own preferences and counseling style, while maintaining legal and ethical standards. We meet weekly to discuss case conceptualizations and I will review audio and/or video recordings (per NJ law) from your sessions so I can provide feedback and suggestions. In between our weekly meetings I make sure all necessary paperwork is completed and engage with your employer as needed.
